Andrea's Academy of Dance Staff
Our staff at AAOD is a diverse and talented group of individuals. Each staff member has a variety of skill sets and bring a creative aspect to our studio. All our instructors have many years of experience in dance and technical training.
Miss Andrea is the owner of Andrea's Academy of Dance.
Miss Sam has been teaching at AAOD for 6 years. She teaches our mini tap team and various rec classes. She is a Administrative Assistant and AAOD Royals Staff member. She started dancing when she was 3 years old at Debbie’s School of Dance. After graduating, she attended Millersville University and joined a dance team her Sophomore year. She has been teaching for 10 years, including high school and college. She has her Master’s Degree in Safety Sciences and Bachelors of Science.
Miss Ashley has been teaching at AAOD for many years. She teaches our Mini Jazz team, Pre Company and various rec Ballet classes. Miss Ashley has many years of previous dance experience.
Miss Sam joined AAOD in 2019. Sam began dancing at 3 years old at Willow Street Dance Steps. I did only end of the year recitals till about 2nd grade. In 2nd grade Sam was invited to join the company team called LEDC. She traveled and danced with them, doing competitions, nationals, conventions, trips to NYC. In 10th grade I changed companies from LEDC to Dance Dynamix. After graduating dance at DDX, I went to Paul's School of Baton and taught twirl girls their pageant routines and a portion of their end of the year recital routines.
Miss Rachel joined us this year to teach our strength/conditioning and hip hop classes for our Royals. She is currently a full time Lead Personal Trainer at Crunch Fitness in Lancaster, as well as a full time college student! She was a competitive dancer for 9 years competing in every genre from lyrical to hip hop. She has taught recreational classes for the previous two years and launched a special needs class with a good friend.
Miss Maddie joined us this year to teach our leaps/turns and Combo technique classes. She has a Masters Degree in Social Work from Millersville University, and works as a Therapist at WellSpan. She spent 10 years competing locally and nationally and won numerous top awards. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening, and hanging out with her two French bulldogs Theo & Jax!
Miss Brianna recently graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a degree in Athletic Training and minored in Dance. She currently works for Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster and is the Head Athletic Trainer for Elizabethtown High School. Brianna has been an active dancer for 19 years and reached “elite” level competitive dance status by the 7th grade. In high school, Brianna was a 3 time “Top Billing” elite level competitive dance champion. Other highlights include being a triple platinum solo award winner on the TV show “Dance Moms.” She received commendations and acknowledgments from the America Ballet Theater’s feature dancer Misty Copeland. She won a scholarship, worked, toured, and danced with various cast members from the hit TV show “So You Think You Can Dance?” And, she was the dance captain for the East Stroudsburg University dance team.
Miss Natasha started dancing at age 2 at Oxford Center for Dance. At age 9 she landed the role of Clara with the Delaware Dance Company, she was the only one to date to have danced this role 2 years. She has danced many other roles in Nutcracker such as Snow Queen, Marzipan Lead and Dew Drop Fairy. During her dancing career she danced with Brandywine Ballet, Anna Marie Dance School, Pennsylvania Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet and the Russian Ballet Theater of Delaware. After High School, she went to Point Park College as a Ballet major. Miss Natasha has been teaching in the area for more than 22 years with 10 of those year working with various competition teams.
Miss Rylee is a sophomore at Penn State University, and she has been dancing for over 16 years. Rylee joined the Willow Street Dance Step’s dance company, LEDC, at the age of nine after much request from recreational teachers. Through her competitive years, Rylee has been awarded numerous scholarships, rewards, and championship titles from regional and national level competitions. In addition, Rylee’s championship solo title earned her a spot to tour the east coast with the Excel Dance Convention assisting SYTYCD stars such as Lauren Froderman, Alex Wong and Ade Chike.
Miss Brittany joined us this year to teach at our Oxford Studio. She teaches our Jazz, Hip Hop, and Tap classes.
Miss Vanessa has been teaching at Andrea’s Academy of Dance for 5 years. She has been coached by AAOD in many different styles including: ballet, hip-hop and many more. She has danced at Andrea’s for 14 years and danced on their competitive team for 8 years. She has been invited to Hollywood and Australia twice and done many photoshoots and workshops. She also received first place for a couple of her choreographed pieces.
Miss Kylee teaches our Pre Ballet class. She is a member of our Royals Competition team and has been competing for many years. She has received regional and national awards for her solos, duos and group dances. She is under the instruction of our AAOD Staff.
Shannon is our billing manager for AAOD. She has all the answers when it comes to everything billing related. She works at Herr’s full time. If you ever have questions about billing, please reach out to her at email@example.com
